This will be my second year on the Dawson Elementary PTO Board! I am the President and hope to help add to the fun that the PTO brings to learning. I work full-time as an Operations Manager and Client Service Associate in the financial services industry.

I attended Western Michigan University, where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. After graduating, I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, where I met my husband, Tom. We married and shortly thereafter moved back to Michigan to be closer to family. In 2017, we welcomed our daughter, Isabelle, who is now in 2nd grade at Dawson!

We enjoy spending time with friends, attending activities and events—especially those in Downtown Allegan—and spending time together as a family. I also enjoy crafting, relaxing in the hot tub, and reading.

Dawson is an amazing school with dedicated teachers and volunteers! I look forward to another exciting year!

Hi, my name is Brad van Melle.  I was born and raised in Allegan and have three (3) kids within the Allegan School District, with 2 at Dawson and 1 in Pre-K at North Ward.  While time after college took me away from West Michigan, the draw of having family close brought me back home.  

I graduated from Michigan State in 2007 with a degree in Construction Management. Since then, I have held many different positions within the construction industry.  In 2020, while having nothing to do at home, I got my real estate license, and am a local Realtor in Allegan.    

In my free time, you’ll usually find me doing something fun with my kids. I love to coach my boys in soccer and taking my daughter to gymnastics every week.  Then, when Dad needs some “me time”, I enjoy golfing and watching sports on TV! 

With this being my first full year on the PTO, I’m excited to experience everything it has to offer! 

My name is Stacey Sulzener and this is my first year as a member on the PTO. I will be the Volunteer Coordinator and can’t wait to meet more parents and students at our awesome school!

I am originally from Ohio but met my husband, Cliff 14 years ago and moved to Michigan shortly after. We’ve been married for almost 7 years and have 2 amazing daughters. Haleigh is 6 years old and will be in 1st grade this year. Remi is 4 years old and will start Preschool in the fall. We love spending time together, traveling to Ohio and Chicago to see family, being outside, and any other adventure we can experience together! 

You can usually find me working on something crafty whether it’s something for our girls, a project for a craft show, or a themed chalkboard for someone’s birthday or event they may be having! I look forward to sharing some of my craftiness with the teachers and students at Dawson as well!
